The metal packaging industry is increasingly being evaluated through environmental indicators. The efforts made by the industry on environmental issues have made it possible to positively influence these evaluations. In fact, it can be seen that the carbon footprint of tinplate metal packaging has been significantly reduced in the last decade.

The aerosol industry, which uses tinplate to develop its aerosols, is satisfied with this situation, as the average aerosol's environmental impact has been reduced by 17% from 2006 to 2008. This is mainly due to improvements in the production of steel and tinplate, combined with an increase in recycling rates, we have achieved this remarkable result.

In 2012, tinplate aerosols accounted for 47.5% of the total aerosols sold. Aerosols made from other materials accounted for 48.6% of aluminum aerosols and 3.9% of glass bottles, respectively, and are mainly used for perfumes. Tinplate aerosols are mainly used for air fresheners, insecticides, polishes, etc.
