Notice on Heatstroke Prevention for Sihai Factory Amid Great Heat
Today marks the solar term of Great Heat, which represents the hottest and most humid time of the whole year. High temperature and sweltering weather greatly increase the risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke for frontline workers. To fully safeguard the physical health and personal safety of all employees, stabilize daily production progress and avoid safety accidents caused by high temperature, all personnel working at Sihai Factory must strictly abide by the following heatstroke prevention management requirements:
Form good hydration habits. Replenish warm water, light salt water or electrolyte drinks at fixed intervals throughout the shift. Refrain from drinking excessive icy drinks, strong tea and carbonated beverages, as these may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and fail to relieve heat effectively.
All workshop supervisors shall flexibly arrange daily working schedules. Reschedule heavy-duty work, manual carrying and high-temperature operations to cooler morning and evening hours. Cut down continuous long-hour work in hot workshops and arrange regular short breaks for staff.
Fully guarantee workshop heat dissipation. Keep doors, windows and exhaust fans open to maintain good air circulation. The logistics department shall place sufficient cooling supplies including mineral water, cooling oil, herbal tea and antipyretic medicine in each workshop lounge for free use by employees.
Every employee needs to recognize common pre-heatstroke signs, such as dizziness, heavy sweating, fatigue, nausea, muscle cramps and headache. If any above discomfort appears, stop working right away, move to a cool and ventilated area to rest and report your situation to team leaders immediately. Do not hold on working blindly.
All staff are advised to wear breathable sweat-wicking work clothes during operation. Avoid tight thick clothing. Take proper rest after work, sleep adequately and keep a light diet to improve physical tolerance to high temperatures.
Safety always comes first. All departments are requested to attach great importance to high-temperature protection. Wish every employee stay healthy, comfortable and safe amid hot summer weather.
